iPhone 8 Will be a Projector Phone

iPhone 8 will certainly have some futuristic features, but none more futuristic than the plans to include an integrated projector in the new phone. There have been rumors for quite some time that Apple is working to add built-in projectors to future iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad.

A new patent has been filed by Apple that gives us an idea of how they would like to integrate the projectors into their devices. Detailed diagrams show the iPhone and iPad projecting directly onto a wall while laying flat on a table. The diagrams also show Apple is also developing an external projector to be used on MacBooks. It appears the external projector will be USB based but it’s still unclear at this time how it will operate.

Apple insiders have also reported that connecting two or more devices together may also be possible with this technology. You could have your iPhone and MacBook adjacent to each other projecting simultaneously, creating a shared workspace. This is sure to be a real crowd pleaser among mobile professionals.

Another interesting patent that Apple has filed recently involves file sharing. It involves physical motion such as pouring or flicking to transfer files and information between iOS devices. If you wanted to copy a file from your iPhone 8 to your iPad you would simply make a pouring motion with your iPhone and the file will be sent to your iPad automatically. Another way to share information will be to flick notes to other people near you. You simply load the note you’d like to share then make a flicking motion to send it to the other person, like you would in an office or classroom.

The idea of building a projector into a device that’s made to be portable and energy efficient might get a split reaction among fans of the iPhone 8. It’s not something that’s practical for everybody and will no doubt take a lot of power to run. However, you can’t deny how cool it would be to pull your phone out and start a presentation in seconds. Apple may find the need to make this an optional feature to appeal to more people.

No matter what the future holds for the iPhone 8, it will definitely be a breakthrough device. With Google Android closing in rapidly on market share, it’s time for Apple to really blow people away if they plan to compete for market share in the future.

New Features of the iPhone 8

The new generation of Apple’s goliath iPhone is slated to hit the store shelves in October 2014. With Google’s popular Android quickly surpassing Apple in market share, Apple is definitely going to be on the defensive with this next release. If there was ever a time for Apple to woo consumers with the new iPhone 8, that time is now.

Every iteration of the iPhone has gotten a slew of new functions and features, and the iPhone 8 will surely be no exception to this rule. So far Apple has been relatively quiet regarding the details of their new phone, but that doesn’t stop the rumor mill from churning.

The iPhone 8 will likely be the first 4G phone available on both AT&T and Sprint 4G networks. The iPhone 8 has recently become available on Sprint’s 4G network, but AT&T hasn’t yet launched their 4G service. It’s unlikely the iPhone 8 will be the first to sport 4G status as the 4G network isn’t expected to launch until late in 2011 at the earliest, and the iPhone 5 is expected to be released in the fall.

One of the coolest new features will be an edge-to-edge screen. The entire face of the iPhone 8 is likely to be a screen. This is likely to eliminate the physical home button or to integrate it directly into the screen somehow. A new, bigger 3.7” LCD screen is already in production.

Wireless charging is another new feature a lot of people will be excited about. Electromagnets charge the battery inside your device without the need to plug it in. This is called inductive charging, and it will eliminate the need for a port-cable connection. This technology isn’t new, but it’s finally becoming standard which will give Apple the option to eliminate the plug-in port altogether.

iOS6 is likely to debut around the same time as the release of the iPhone 8, and with every new release comes increasing complexity. This puts even increasing strain on the processor. To remedy this, Apple has announced the new A6 processor that will be shared by the iPad 3. It will be a much faster processor to handle the new version of iOS.

The new iPhone 8 is also likely to have an extended battery life, much more storage (64GB and 128GB models), and a new 8 megapixel camera. While these things may be great, it’s more or less what we’ve come to expect from a new release.

This is likely just the tip of the iceberg. No doubt Apple still has a few tricks of their sleeve for the new iPhone 8. We will all be waiting patiently until then.

iPhone 8 Release Date without Steve Jobs

Announced recently, Steve Jobs has left his position as Chief Executive Officer of Apple. Steve Jobs has been under bad health the last few months, and the public seemed to understand this move was coming sooner or later. Jobs is responsible for the co-founding of Apple in a basement, that has now grown to the company that it currently is.

Tim Cook has been announced as the successor to Steve Jobs as Apple CEO. Although it is rumored that the move by Jobs is health related, no one knows for sure. It will be interesting to see how the iPhone 8 release goes without Jobs on board.Once the news was announced about Steve Jobs stepping down, Apples stock took a small dip, but appears to have resurfaced.

Although it’s shocking news to some, many are unaware that Tim Cook has been managing things for awhile behind the scenes. It will be interesting to see where Apple goes in the future with its current main products the iPhone, Macbook, iMac, iPad, and iPod. Will the designs change now that Mr. Cook has stepped in? We highly doubt it, but you never know. Let’s hope the iPhone 8 release date will stay the same, and not see a much further release than anticipated.
